Street Smart Think Tank™
The Street Smart Think Tank™(SSTT) is dedicated to “searching for solutions” by initiating a series of training and educational “academies” structured around issues important to Solution Strategies’ core values and methods, such as social venture partnerships, community, and the environment. The academies created by SSTT are designed to provide what we call “street smart training and education” on the skills necessary to navigate present day agency, institutional, and corporate challenges, as well as obstacles facing all people as they work to improve social good.
SSTT specializes in searching for solutions to issues (both micro and macro) within the realm of practical knowledge (street smarts) for institutions, agencies, corporations, and communities. Through its academies, SSTT customizes curricula to assist in business advising, land use, finance, education, social good, grant writing, philanthropic linkages, and assessment and evaluation.
Street smart refers to a combination of intuition, shrewd resourcefulness, savvy, practical astuteness, knowledge, and experience that is required to be effective and efficient in 21st-century work and business environments.
Academy refers to a learning environment made up of peers, colleagues, and associates focused on personal and professional leadership development. Key aspects of this learning environment are: (1) experiential learning technology; (2) specialized assessment and feedback tools; and (3) external process facilitating and coaching.
